We've all heard about men who have little black books with the names and phone numbers of women they date. I have a little black book and sugggest you get one, too.
Mine is a Molskine and I've had it for years. Instead of phone numbers or names, it has uplifting thoughts and affirmations. As I have read various books and come across statements I found particularly helpful, I would write them in my little black book. I put the book in my purse. At any time, I can pull out my little book and read something that uplifts and inspires me.
Truthfully, I have three little books: black, blue and purple - but it is the little black one I use the most because I have had it the longest and it is a true friend. Yes, I have tried putting such quotes and ideas in the notes section of my phone, but there's something about seeing the ideas in my own handwriting that sparks the greatest feelings of comfort and upliftment.
I opened the book at random to offer you a thought for today. "I am divinely led, I follow the right fork in the road. God makes a way where there is no way." -Florence Scovel Shinn, The Secret Door to Success
