Apparently not.....yet. Now not only do we have a president who physically pushes himself ahead of other countries' leaders and brags about sexually assaulting women, Montana has elected a congressman who (allegedly) physically attacked a reporter. When Steve Miller who is close to the president roared "The Alpha Male is back and in charge, " he meant it. How far will all of this go? How low will it go?
What we are seeing right now is the swing of the pendulum. We live in a world of duality: up/down, sun/moon, male/female, black/white. This will not change. We can look around and see how the pendulum of life swings for each of us personally as well as in the world around us.
The pendulum had swung to the place of honoring many progressive values. Now it has swung the other direction. When this happens in our personal lives, the trick is to grab the pendulum when it is in the center and balance it there - or to remain balanced even while we watch the pendulum swing in our lives.
This needs to happen on the world level as well. The point will come where the pendulum goes as far as it can in the direction of the Alpha Males and it will start to go in the other direction again. The trick is going to be getting it to balance somewhere in the middle so we can stop the drastic swinging in either direction. The other trick is going to be not letting these Alpha Males do so much damage to the environment and society that it takes the next five or six generations to straighten it all out - assuming the planet remains habitable when they are through with it.
